Overview

Marlin, Marlin Firearms and other references are made with regards to the firearms produced by the companies owning the rights to produce arms under that name. The author is in no way associated with those companies, their subsidiaries, or their successor companies. I’m a collector, not a dealer or a manufacturer.

At Marlin Rimfires, we specialize in collectible and hard-to-find rimfire firearms. Due to the nature of these products, all sales are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Please review the following policies carefully before making a purchase.

Federal Firearms License (FFL) Requirement

All firearms must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.

How the process works:

  1. After completing your purchase, you must provide a copy of your chosen FFL’s license – if you don’t have a license, its your responsibility to contact your dealer and have them provide me a copy: I can’t hunt that down for you!
  2. Most dealers won’t provide you a copy of their license, and will send it to me directly. I’ll let you know once I receive the paperwork. If you’re having trouble finding a dealer to receive your transfer, reach out directly and I’ll help! I’ve got tools at my disposal to find an FFL in your area.
  3. We will verify the FFL and ship the firearm directly to that licensee.
  4. You will complete the required background check and transfer paperwork at the dealer location before taking possession, if required.

I will not ship to a C&R licensee if the name on the FFL-03 doesn’t match the billing address provided at checkout.

Local pickups require an FFL, a valid Concealed Pistol License, or some other proof you’re eligible to possess a firearm. Because we’re not a dealer, we don’t have access to the NICS system, and want to ensure we’re responsible in conducting transfers.

Compliance with State and Local Laws

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the firearm is legal in their state and locality. Luckily, most the rifles I sell aren’t the target of the gun control lobby (yet)…

We will not ship items that we know are restricted or prohibited in your jurisdiction, but we’re not experts in every state’s laws. Orders that are returned due to locality restrictions or failed background check are subject to a 20% restocking fee, plus all shipping costs.

Payment Policy

Accepted payment methods are provided at checkout.

  • Payment must be received in full before any item is shipped.
  • Orders not paid within the agreed timeframe may be canceled.
  • Certain payment methods may require additional processing time before shipment.

Shipping Policy

  • Firearms are shipped only to verified Federal Firearm Licensees – we identify which firearms are eligible to be shipped to an FFL-03 on the product listing (almost all qualify).
  • Shipping will occur after payment is cleared and FFL documentation is received and validated.
  • Tracking information will be provided once the item has been shipped – keep an eye on your junk box if you haven’t received an update.
  • Shipping times may vary based on verification and compliance requirements.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of collectible firearms, all sales are generally considered final.

Exceptions may be made in the following cases:

  • Item is not as described
  • Item is damaged in transit

If there is an issue with your order:

  • Contact us within 3 days of delivery
  • Do not initiate a transfer if you believe there is a problem

Returns are still considered transfers, we can help you with that process, as needed, and under most circumstances you can ship the firearms back to us yourself without going through a dealer.

Condition & Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe each item, including condition, originality, and any known modifications.

However:

  • Many items are vintage or collectible
  • Minor wear consistent with age should be expected
  • We’re human, we make mistakes, and some repairs are done very well and hard to detect
  • We try to take several pictures of the firearms to allow you to evaluate the condition yourself, because well-informed minds often disagree!

Please review all photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled prior to shipment, but may be subject to fees depending on payment processing and administrative costs.

Once a firearm has shipped, the order cannot be canceled.

Liability

By purchasing from this site, you agree that:

  • You are legally eligible to own firearms
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • You assume responsibility for the transfer process through your selected FFL
